The USB XBox controller I just seen at Wal Mart. What's really nice is XP discovered the device without any additional drivers. It works great with my MAME stuff but the D-pad is only 4 way, not 8-way like a real arcade. I have the same adapter, a Soyo clear blue USB I bought from Fry's. This makes for convenient switching between d-pad and analog stick, in MAME for instance. The Dual Shock's analog mode button (an internal button to the controller that doesn't send out as far as I know) disables the two analog sticks and relocates the d-pad to being stick #1, and the inverse. Results would be the same with a 360 controller, would be my first guess. Without installing their drivers, in win2k.sp4, I get both analog sticks, the d-pad, and all buttons, and I don't get button pressure, and of course no rumble, using a Dual Shock 2. Well, I went ahead and got a Playstation to USB adapter instead, the one from radioshack.
